Government Accounting for Idiots
From BSC
” About 650,000 jobs have been saved or created under President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus plan, the White House said Friday.” (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_stimulus_jobs)
Are you kidding me? Are they really putting that out there as a victory?
1) More than 12 MILLION jobs have been lost in the past 18 months. 650k represents only 5% of the total job losses that have been saved. 95% of the 12 million are still unemployed (thats over 11 million people for those of you keeping score at home, if you still have one).
2) So 787 billion for 650k jobs, what kind of a deal do we get for that? It is costing the US Taxpayers 1.2 million dollars to save 1 job. Doesn’t seem like a good return on investment does it? Well its even worse than that… FAR worse.
3) The $787 billion stimulus is really much more than 787 billion. Always make sure you read the fine print. As Treasury Sec Timmy Geithner said “it is a revolving line of credit.” Well guess what, it has been “revolved” over 20 times now by last count (Fed Chariman Benny Bernake doesn’t really know how many, but he guesses its more than 20). 787,000,000,000 * 20 = $15,740,000,000,000. Thats over 15 TRILLION dollars, conservatively. That puts costs up to $24 Million dollars PER JOB saved!
If you are wondering why it costs 24 million dollars to save 1 job, its very simple. The 1 job being saved is the job of a Criminal Elite Corporate Banking Syndicate Member, whose mafia style cabal has infiltrated our government and is now robbing us blind. Seeing as that is such tough work, I’d say it merits the 24 million dollar salary.

Masonic/Satanic symbolism in MTV Christmas ad

The 2009 VMAs: The Occult Mega-Ritual
From unexpected drama to shocking performances, MTV’s 2009 Video Music Awards managed once again to raise eyebrows and get people talking. What most people however missed is the occult meanings encoded into the VMAs. The TV event was in fact a large scale occult ceremony, complete with an initiation, a prayer and even a blood sacrifice. We’ll look at the symbolism that went on during the show.
MTV’s Video Music Awards have often incorporated dark and strange acts, even containing some occult symbolism. This year’s version has however outdone itself. The show left most people wondering what was wrong with Kanye West or trying compute the madness of Lady Gaga’s performance. The only way to understand the real meaning behind those performances is to look into esoteric teachings. Fact is, the whole awards show took the most common rituals of occult orders and reenacted them in a show witnessed by the entire world.
This year’s VMA’s were very different from other awards shows. They focused on a very limited number of artists (Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga), while ignoring many others who were equally successful. The “chosen” artists became characters in the VMA’s ceremony and acted out different ritual dramas. This might sound totally crazy to the average MTV viewer but those acquainted with the practices of occult orders (such as Freemasonry) can decode the references to sacred rituals. There are numerous types of fraternities and rituals, from the most noble to the most infernal, and they have existed throughout History. The VMAs were decisively inspired by dark, sinister and even Satanic ceremonies. Let’s look at those rituals.
The High Priestess’ Words of Wisdom
Madonna, the music industry’s High Priestess, the revered “elder” of MTV, opens the show with a very solemn eulogy for Michael Jackson. She admittedly never really knew or “connected” with him but she was still chosen to pay him tribute. Madonna is a well known and publicized adept of the Kaballah, the esoteric school of Judaism which is studied in most occult orders. Rabbi Ariel Bar Tzadok explained how she uses (or abuses) Kaballah symbolism in her music:
“I discovered that Madonna’s famous dabbling with sacred Jewish mysticism has taken an interesting turn. In her latest music video for the theme song of a new James Bond movie, the “material girl” of old is transforming herself into a “Kabbalah girl.” Aside from the traditional Madonna blend of music and sensuality, in this video we see Madonna has a Holy Name of G-d tattooed onto her right shoulder. Tattooing, mind you, is a practice forbidden under Torah Law, all the more so abhorred by the Kabbalah. Granted the tattoo may not be real or only temporary but nonetheless, any expression of performing a forbidden act is itself forbidden and inexcusable. Unfortunately, Madonna’s abuse of Kabbalah and traditional Torah Judaism does not stop here. Later in the video we see Madonna winding leather straps around her left arm in the exact same format and style as holy tefillin are worn by religious Jewish men. Tefillin consist of a small leather box containing scared parchments. These are then strapped to one’s left biceps, and the strap is wound down the left arm and around the hand. Granted Madonna did not go so far as to defame the tefillin boxes themselves. Yet, it is quite clear that the wrapping of the straps around her arm is done in orthodox Torah style. This act of hers is pure sacrilege.” -Rabbi Ariel Bar Tzadok, Madonna’s Kabbalah – Not Kosher http://www.koshertorah.com/PDF/madonna%20kabbalah.pdf
Madonna’s tribute focused on the fact that MJ was “otherworldly” and “a king” but that she insisted on the fact that he was also a human being. Wisdom that can only be imparted by the High Priestess, while members of the audience bowed their heads and meditated on those words. Her words had a deep Kabbalisitic resonance. The speech was followed by a video tribute to Jackson, which oddly started with Thriller, displaying on a huge screen the face of MJ as a decaying zombie who is risen from the dead. We then hear Price’s verse in the song saying:
“Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize yawls neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpses shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller”It is only fitting that MJ’s greatest was included in his tribute. But this was a rather gruesome way to start a posthumous tribute. Someone, somewhere made some odd choices, but this somehow fitted the “vibe” of the rest of the show.
Taylor Swift’s Initiation
Taylor Swift wins the “Best Female Video” award and goes up on stage to give her thank yous. Kanye West pops out of nowhere, taking the mic from her hand, and informed her that Beyonce had “one of the best videos of all time“. This scene has caused much controversy and has earned Kanye the title of “Douchebag of the year” plus a the honor of being called a “jackass” by the President of the United States. I might shock some people by saying this… but this “unexpected” event was… STAGED! There I said it. Did you ever watch a crappy reality show and had the gut feeling that the whole thing was scripted? Well, I’ve got an overload of that feeling while watching that. None of the people implicated (not even Beyonce making her “I can’t believe this is happening” face) are good actors. Furthermore, I’ve been following Kanye’s career since his beginnings and I’ve retained one important fact about him: the only thing Kanye West cares about, is Kanye West. So if he had to throw a hissy fit about something, it would had been about him not winning. Not Beyonce. Him. This scene is in fact Taylor Swift’s initiation into what I call “The Circle of Chosen Artists”. The pupil is humiliated in front of her peers and told that she is not worthy to be on the same stage as Beyonce, the queen of the ceremony. Almost all groups, fraternities and gangs carry out an initiation process to test the recruit’s character, strength and worth. Swift’s ordeal was to have Kanye ruin her first award ever and to be told that she didn’t deserve this recognition. The rapper is known for bitching during award shows so he was the perfect candidate to make it all seem “unexpected”.
The Prayer
Jack Black comes out dressed as a heavy metal guy on steroids to promote a video game. At one point he asks the audience to put their devil horns in the air and the proceeds to pray to the “darklord Satan”. The whole thing is light-hearted and comical but I don’t see any other way a prayer to Satan can be inserted into a primetime show without getting a truckload of complaints by “concerned parents”. The scene starts off semi-funny but Jack Black finishes off on a more serious note by saying: “I ask you to grant tonight’s nominees with continued success in the music industry“. This last phrase actually reveals a dark truth about the entertainment business. So the net result of this scene is this: everybody threw up their “devil horns” hand sign, then took each other’s hands and prayed to Satan. This piece of pre-rehearsed comedy might have been an insignificant skit in another show. But in the context of this one, with its many recreations of occult rituals, the skit takes a whole other, sinister meaning.
The Blood Sacrifice
Lady Gaga’s performance was hailed as “brilliant” by many music fans. If you however ask them what it symbolizes, their face turns into a question mark. Here’s what Gaga said about her performance during an interview at gagadaily.com
Do you think it will be one of those defining moments people will remember at the VMAs?
I know it will. I sort of have this philosophy about things: there’s never a reason to do something unless it’s going to be memorable, unless it’s going to change things, unless it’s going to inspire a movement. With the song and with the performance, I hope to say something very grave about fame and the price of it.Something grave? What?
You’ll have to see. What are you going to wear?
I would say that the fashion for the performance is a representation of the most stoic and memorable martyrs of fame in history. It’s intended to be an iconic image that represents people. I think after watching the performance and maybe studying it after you watch it on YouTube, you’ll see the references and the symbols come through. The setting for the performance is very symbolic. Gaga performs in a temple or maybe an aristocratic mansion, complete with columns, chandlers and paintings. Occult rituals, mind control experiments and even human sacrifices have been constantly rumored to take place in those kinds of settings. One feature I cannot ignore is the presence of two massive pillars underneath an arch.
Those are unmistakable Masonic symbols as depicted on this lithograph:
This obvious reference to Freemasonry hints to the occult and ritualistic aspect of Gaga’s performance. Masons are known to carry in their lodges ritual dramas, which are live reenactments of allegorical stories. Gaga’s performance symbolizes her rise to fame and the sacrifice she had to make in order to succeed.
When the bloody Gaga is lifted in the air, an eerie light comes out of of between the pillars and the dancers lift their arms in the air in praise. Many ancient religions carried out ritual sacrifices to please the gods. Blood sacrifices have also been viewed by black magicians as the ultimate way to collect spiritual energy. The final scene of the performance conveys the presence of this mysterious “force” after a sacrifice.
Right after her performance, Gaga appears dressed in an all red dress, with her face completely covered. She is basically a walking, talking blood sacrifice. It represents the aftermath of fame, the hellish life that follows the sacrifice, the selling of the soul for success in the music industry.
Pink’s Masonic Initiation
There is no way a Mason can watch this performance without recalling his initiation into the First Degree. Here’s a description by Mark Stavish:
“The candidate for initiation is stripped of all material possessions and dressed in a strange and peculiar garb (…). This includes a blindfold and a length of rope called a cable tow.”
He continues
“The blindfold used represents secrecy, darkness and ignorance as well as trust. The candidate is led into the lodge room for initiation but is not able to see what is happening. He is bound about the waist and arm with the cable tow.”
-Mark Stavish, Freemasonry: Rituals, Symbols and History of the Secret SocietyPink is blindfolded and bound with ropes. Her costume exposes her left breast, exactly like Masonic initiates. Instead of having her left leg exposed, Pink’s costume bears a diamond pattern which is very reminiscent of floors in Masonic lodges.
Pink’s performance was a dizzying display of acrobatics which undoubtedly left her (and the viewers) totally disoriented. This is also a feature of Freemasonry’s First Degree initiation:
“His eyes are then bandaged against and a cord in the form of a noose is passed round his neck. At this point the novice is entering the marginal stage, associated with ordeals; he cannot see, his sense of direction has been confused and he has been dressed like a victim for execution.”
-J.S. La Fontaine, Initiation – Ritual Drama and secret knowledge across the worldPink’s performance was yet another blatant reference to ritual dramas in occult orders.
Taylor Swift’s Acceptance into the Order
After Swift’s public humiliation, Beyonce, the queen of the ceremony, calls her up on stage to let her “have her moment”. She appears from backstage (as if awaiting her cue) in a red dress which is strikingly similar to Beyonce’s. A reader of this site has noticed that, at the moment the two singers hug, a strange phrase appears on the screen behind them saying “RDFO IL 40 PRO DEL ATO”. I have no idea what that means, but it was there. If you solve this enigma, be sure to post it in the comments. **Editor’s note** Pretty sure it means “Ilford Delta Pro film”.
Taylor Swift being called on stage represents the fact that she is now accepted as an equal to Beyonce and part of the “chosen ones”. The matching dresses also convey this sense of belonging to a new group. She “passed the test” – the ordeal of being humiliated – and she can now reap the rewards of being an “insider”.
To Conclude
Award ceremonies like the VMAs define and crystallize the pop culture of an era. It consecrates the chosen artists while leaving the others dwelling in the shadows of anonymity. As seen above, the whole show was heavily permeated with occult symbolism, primarily focusing on the “initiation” aspect of it. Why is MTV exposing young people (who know nothing about occultism) to such rituals? Is there a subliminal effect on the viewers? Are we educating the new generation to accept these symbols as part of popular culture? There is definitively a second layer of interpretation in many of MTV’s products. To decode those symbols is to understand the inner-workings of the entertainment industry.
I know there’s a bunch of details I didn’t cover – Be sure your findings in the comments section!

Obama: We Need To Bailout Newspapers To Stop New Media Taking Over

President says preserving “mutual understanding” is critical to democracy
Steve Watson
Infowars.net
Monday, Sept 21, 2009President Obama has stated that he is happy to consider bailing out the corporate media, expressing concerns that alternative internet based news outlets will grow in popularity as a result of the downfall of newspapers.
Obama told editors of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Toledo Blade that preserving the print media is “critical to the health of our democracy”.
“I am concerned that if the direction of the news is all blogosphere, all opinions, with no serious fact-checking, no serious attempts to put stories in context, that what you will end up getting is people shouting at each other across the void but not a lot of mutual understanding,” Obama said.
He also indicated that readers should be made to pay for online news content in the near future:
“What I hope is that people start understanding if you’re getting your newspaper over the Internet, that’s not free and there’s got to be a way to find a business model that supports that.” he said.
Over the past year, scores of newspapers have gone out of business or shifted to online only output, due to the rise of the alternative media and the resulting loss of ad revenue. Several large newspaper corporations have filed for bankruptcy, including the Tribune Co., owner of the Chicago Tribune and the Los Angeles Times.
Obama said he “would be happy to look at” legislation aimed at providing newspapers tax-breaks if they were to restructure as 50 (c) (3) educational corporations. Democratic Senator Ben Cardin has introduced a bill in this vain titled “The Newspaper Revitalization Act.”
Critics may point out that, far from being “critical” to democracy, a bailed out government subsidized media is the very antithesis of a “free press”.
Government Banking and Government Motors would effectively be joined by the Government Press if bailouts were to be granted.
Bailing out the corporate media would once again constitute rewarding outdated and failing monopolies with more taxpayer dollars, thus punishing innovative forward thinking competition.
Furthermore, there is absolutely no basis for bailing out the newspapers, given that they employ less than one percent of the labor force in the United States.
The dinosaur corporate media is dying because it has proven itself to be almost wholly untrustworthy, acting as an unquestioning mouthpiece for the establishment.
Denouncing all blog based media as unreliable or without context is laughable in the face of the mainstream media’s recent track record.

Is Glenn Beck really that dumb?
… Or are Beck’s puppet-masters deliberately making a mockery of his audience? There must have been someone in Beck’s marketing agency who could have told him that the quote used to sell this book is actually an insult to all the “non-thinking” people who watch his show and would-be readers of his book.
Beck’s antics are so comical, so over-the-top, that I have to wonder if his New World Order bosses are saying “We know you’re too stupid to comprehend this sentence.” They love rubbing our noses in their power.
Or maybe Beck is surrounded by yes-men and idiots. Either way, something is terribly wrong here.
So Glenn says what people who don’t think think?
And this coopted right-wing “9-12 project” smacks of all the “post-9/11 everything changed” dogma.

AP News introduces new DRM Scheme
______________________________________________________Below is the Ars Technica article by By Nate Anderson with the AP’s original graphic:The Associated Press last week rolled out its brave new plan to “apply protective format to news.” The AP’s news registry will “tag and track all AP content online to assure compliance with terms of use,” and it will provide a “platform for protect, point, and pay.” That’s a lot of “p”-prefaced jargon, but it boils down to a sort of DRM for news—”enforcement,” in AP-speak.
But how could that possibly work?
It was good enough for music…
Turns out that it won’t, not really, not if the goal is to exercise control over AP content by those not voluntarily disposed to play by the AP’s rules. First, let’s try to make sense of what’s being proposed. According to the AP’s announcement, the news registry it plans to set up relies on a new “microformat,” described thusly:
The microformat will essentially encapsulate AP and member content in an informational “wrapper” that includes a digital permissions framework that lets publishers specify how their content is to be used online and which also supplies the critical information needed to track and monitor its usage.
The registry also will enable content owners and publishers to more effectively manage and control digital use of their content, by providing detailed metrics on content consumption, payment services and enforcement support. It will support a variety of payment models, including pay walls.
To make the system clear, the AP also released this not-in-any-way confusing chart of what it intends to do.
The “wrappers” and “digital permissions frameworks” that it hopes to implement sound like tough encryption, but they aren’t. Instead, the AP is simply relying on a newly-developed microformat called hNews. It’s a simple HTML-based tagging scheme for marking up news content and making headlines, author names, and permitted uses machine-readable and search-engine friendly. (See an example.) hNews is funded by major foundations, and all of its tools and specs will be released as open-source software. In what way does this scheme “wrap” and “protect” the news? It doesn’t; it simply marks it up, and adding tags expressing a content creator’s wishes on reuse has no bearing on someone’s rights under US copyright law. What it does do is provide organizations that use hNews a way to release more rights than are granted under copyright—in essence, a sort of “Creative Commons” news license. In fact, hNews’ “rights field” uses ccREL, the Creative Commons Rights Expression Language.
The AP’s news registry will use hNews to embed some kind of Web beacon in news content as well, making it possible to track some uses of the story across the Web. Users who simply copy and paste parts of the story, or those who retype bits of it to use as quotes, or those of simply strip out the tags will of course not end up being tracked.
You’ll be forgiven if you find it difficult to square the reality of hNews with the AP’s pronouncements about it. Ed Felten, the eminent Princeton computer security researcher, couldn’t figure it out, either.
“It was hard to make sense of this, so I went looking for more information,” he wrote on his blog. “AP posted a diagram of the system, which only adds to the confusion—your satisfaction with the diagram will be inversely proportional to your knowledge of the technology… hNews is a handy way of annotating news stories with information about the author, dateline, and so on. But it doesn’t ‘encapsulate’ anything in a ‘wrapper,’ nor does it do much of anything to facilitate metering, monitoring, or paywalls.”
The great difficulty in talking about the AP’s year-long push to stop “misappropriation” of its content is that it has never been quite clear what behavior AP is trying to stop. It’s not targeting Google, as it already has a deal in place with Google to provide full-text feeds of its news stories. It doesn’t appear to be going after small-time bloggers or those who use quotes from AP stories in their work.
But it has pursued a “hot news” case recently (which was just settled), and the AP seems to be signaling its intentions to go after sites that profit from large-scale use of AP headlines without paying for them. How the news registry helps them do this remains unclear, since sites that don’t do what AP wants are unlikely to include its Web beacons.
Is AP going after sites that occasionally quote from its news stories (using proper citation and links)? Such a move seems bizarre on its face—and the AP routinely cites sources of its own, including Ars Technica—but it’s not out of the question. When paidContent’s Staci D. Kramer put the question recently to AP Chairman Dean Singleton, the response was slightly creepy.
“I was a little taken aback when I asked Singleton what would happen to sites like ours: ‘I’ll leave that to the rules of engagement that we’ll be developing’ in coming weeks. Not ‘we’re not after sites like yours’ or ‘we’re looking at flagrant violators.’ And no sign at all that AP will be reaching out beyond its members for input.”
And yet, when we spoke to AP back in June, AP news editor Ted Bridis seemed much more sure of the answer.
OK, we said. How will you define “wholesale theft?” If somebody publishes a paragraph of AP copy with a link to the AP story, will that be theft?
“Not at all,” Bridis replied. “I don’t think AP would have any problem with that.” We didn’t want to give the impression that we were bargaining, but we pressed on as to exactly how one would disturb AP’s comfort zone. Was this about not posting links?
No, Bridis replied. “What I’m talking about, and what has really riled up our internal copyright folks, are the bloggers who take, just paste an entire 800 word story into their blog. They don’t even comment on it. And it happens way more than most people realize.”
But neither hNews nor the news registry will do anything to stop bloggers copying text off a webpage, and they certainly won’t stop people from doing marginal “rewrites” of AP’s work and passing it off as original writeups.
So this all might be about wholesale infringement, or it might be about the “hot news” contained in AP headlines and ledes, or it might be both. But the one thing it isn’t is “clear”—the journalist’s cardinal sin.
hNews looks like a nice way to mark up news, to make it visible to search engines, and to provide useful metadata for those who want to do interesting things with the content. But what it has to do with “wrappers,” “enforcement,” and “protection” is unclear. Reading the AP announcement and the graphic that accompanied it, one is struck by the thought that perhaps the AP has been snookered into believing that it’s getting “DRM for news,” when in reality it’s simply using an open-source news metadata markup language with Creative Commons rights expression.
Certainly, there’s a pretty large contingent of writers in the blogosphere who think the AP is simply misguided, out of touch, or simply stupid. It’s the sort of attitude that leads to mocking graphics which may be uncharitable, but it is quite obvious that hNews and a registry aren’t going to save the traditional news industry without some significant other changes.
Down the road, of course, the AP might go to Congress and ask that whatever tracking and rights system it settles on be given the force of law. It’s not as crazy as it sounds; European publishers already hope to get a law enforcing the Automated Content Access Protocol.
“We need search engines to recognize ACAP as a step towards acknowledging that content providers have the right to decide what happens to their content and on what terms,” said the Chairman of ACAP, Gavin O’Reilly, recently. “The European Commission and other legislators call on our industry constantly to come up with solutions—here we have one and we call upon the regulators to back it up.”

State Run News: ABC Turns Programming Over To Government
Corporate news giant imitates Communist China, Soviet Union and North Korea, blocks dissenting voices to promote Obama health care agenda

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com
Monday, June 16, 2009Completely dispensing with any notion of independence or impartiality, ABC News is set to mimic the likes of Communist China and North Korea by completely turning its news coverage over to the government and excluding any dissenting opinions to promote President Obama’s health care agenda.
The night of Wednesday June 24th will officially herald the open commencement of state run news, imitating similar systems in historical dictatorships such as the Soviet Union, where Pravda was the official propaganda organ of the Central Committee of the Communist Party from 1912 to 1991.
In China, the vast majority of news outlets are completely owned and controlled by the Communist Party. Negative viewpoints about government policy are blocked and news developments that could reflect badly on China are ignored and censored. An almost identical system of media also exists in Stalinist North Korea.
Still, at least the Chinese and the North Koreans don’t try to hide the fact that the press is state run, unlike ABC News, owned by the corporate giant Walt Disney Company, which masquerades as an independent news outlet yet in little over a week will completely turn over its news coverage to act as enthusiastic propagandist for the government’s health care “reform” program.
The coverage will be in addition to ABC News’ regular programming, which is already vehemently pushing the government’s agenda on this issue.
“On the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care — a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!,” according to the Drudge Report.
“ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.”
“The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.”
In a complaint to ABC News, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay called the decision “astonishing,” noting that ABC had rejected a request that dissenting voices from all sides of the political spectrum be represented.
ABC News’ announcement that they will openly turn over their news coverage to the government while censoring dissenting opinions goes one step further than the Bush administration, who at least made the effort to keep their fake news scandal a secret until it was exposed in 2005.
Under Bush, the government produced fake news packages and distributed them to local news networks around the country, most of which aired them without question. The fake news packages were also broadcast on a national level by CNN. Reporters and pundits were also paid off by the government to promote specific policies.
