Holy sh*t.  This may be the biggest BP media deception yet. The gist of it is that the main well is still leaking and the “capped well” we’re looking at video of a 2nd nearby well from this drilling operation.

“Use skimmers to siphon off the oil” …. “Send a bomb down there”

And suddenly Matt Simmonds is dead.

Reuters suggests BP possesses nuclear weapons

Perhaps we were so busy trying to prevent Iraq and Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons we didn’t notice that BP now has its own.

I won’t even bother reposting the text of this article. It’s so manipulative I can’t bear to read it again.

No, WE (The United States) should have nuked that damned thing on day 1.  We need to send a friggin navy ship out there into international waters, take control of BP’s relief well, by force if necessary (or drill our own), lower a small nuke down the shaft, and END THIS STUPIDITY ONCE AND FOR ALL.

But I disagree about the use of conventional explosives over a nuclear bomb.  The intense heat of a nuke can fuse rock whereas a conventional explosive small enough to fit in a shaft they drill will probably not be powerful enough to close the well.  Oil can still leak thru cracked rock.

A conventional explosive on the surface might not close the well at all.  Just piling a bunch of rock on this thing is not going to cut it.  If they attempt to blow it shut from the surface (of the sea floor), it would definitely have to be a nuke.

The best option is to use a robot to send a nuclear warhead down one of their relief wells, or if those aren’t close enough, drill a new hole alongside the leaking shaft like they did here.  Using a nuke it would be critical to know the thickness and composition of the earth between the sea floor and the oil, but the drilling company probably has this information, since they drilled through it already once to reach the oil.

This is a perfect use for a small demolition nuke.  And if they had a nuke this small in 1962, I guarantee you they have one now that could slide down a 6 inch shaft.

Let’s end this madness already and nuke it.

BP Gives Unlimited Behind-the-Scenes Access to One Woman, Who Says BP’s Response is Fake: Clean-Up Equipment Taken Away as Soon as Officials Leave

BP has been given unlimited access to all BP operations and meetings to a Louisiana shrimper’s wife named Kindra Arnesen.

As Yves Smith notes:

Arensen appears to have been invited in because she got media coverage earlier in June when CNN covered her efforts to organize wives of Gulf fisherman over concerns about the safety of working on oil cleanup.

In a must-watch video, Arnesen says:

• BP is given advanced warning when an official is going to show up to any place where there is oil. All assets are deployed. As soon as the official leaves, 75-80% of the assets are removed. BP calls it a “pony and balloons” show.

• “We are expendable to these people. We do not matter.”

• They’re not cleaning it up, they’re covering it up.

• BP is making it impossible for clean-up workers to wear respirators.

• She saw hundreds of thousands of fish dying, so disoriented by the oil that they crashed into her boat.

• There is a media blackout.

• If the country does not stand up and say “no more”, this will go global. All of the world’s oceans are connected. If not stopped, it will destroy one-third of the world’s water.

I’ve been saying this for months.   This is our only option.  We need to nuke that well before it kills every living thing in the gulf.   All these stupid plans they keep coming up with are designed to tap it and minimize financial losses for BP, but that shouldn’t be a priority.

The chances of a significant methane eruption are low.  It’s in the middle of the ocean.  We need to evacuate any islands in a wide area and nuke it shut.   Ruptured wells, including gas wells, have been nuked in the past.  It’s the safest and best option.

MSNBC Host Admits To Parroting White House Talking Points

MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski admitted on air this morning that she was repeating White House talking points she had been advised to include in the channel’s news programming regarding the ongoing BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Morning Joe co-host was repeatedly seen looking down and carefully studying written notes as she engaged in a debate with former GE CEO Jack Welch, an outspoken critic of the government’s reaction to the disaster.

In response to each portion of Welch’s analysis, Brzezinski poured over the notes and read allowed from the script in front of her, defending the government’s response.

When it became blatantly obvious what Brzezinski was doing, Joe Scarborough jumped in:

“you keep reading these… you keep reading these… these…”

“White House talking points.” said Brzezinski, finishing his sentence.

“You keep reading these talking points,” Scarborough continued, “but there is no evidence whatsoever, from looking through all the evidence, that they had from the very beginning, that they had for the first 56 days a concerted plan and a war room to fix this.”

Later on during the discussion, after announcing she had some “interesting news” on the latest oil flow rate estimates, Brzezinski struggled to contain laughter as Welch quipped “oh, you’ve got some more talking points on that?”

“Do you want to know why I have a file that I’ve been working on with the White House—and I’ll be very transparent about that?” Brzezinski, said.

“Because of your friend Rudy Giuliani who came here last week spewing out a whole bunch of nothing.”

It seems that following that interview with Giuliani, in which he was overtly critical of the White House handling of the spill, Mika, the daughter of Trilateral Commission co-founder and and former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, was called to “work with the White House” on oil spill talking points.

This is clearly part of the tightly controlled PR output on the spill that Obama has instituted in the wake of the initial slow response.

This isn’t the first time the corporate networks have prostituted their integrity and handed over control of their content to the Obama administration. Back in June of last year, ABC News mimicked the likes of Communist China and North Korea by completely turning its news coverage over to the government and excluding any dissenting opinions to promote Obama’s health care agenda.

The news coverage was complemented later in the year by political propaganda “organically” woven into the plots and storylines of prime time network television shows. These are just the cases we know about.

The fact that corporate TV outlets are openly writing scripts and editing entertainment and news content to incorporate government propaganda, added to the fact that they act like this is some kind of wonderful service to the American people, is a damning indictment of just how deep the alphabet soup networks are in the pocket of the establishment.

It also underscores exactly why they are losing viewers to the Internet and alternative media at an alarming speed while hypocritically attacking the alternative media for being untrustworthy.

We’ll leave it to the reader to decide for themselves. Who’s the most trustworthy? The muckraking blogger or the legions of corporate media whores who brazenly hand over their editorial control to the government and then celebrate the fact as if it’s a major achievement?
