  • Northern hemisphere now covered in radionuclides

I tested my upstairs air filter with a Geiger counter (Michigan, USA)  today and it was going nuts, similar to the rain water in this video. Some of us will get it worse than others obviously, but nearly all people will experience at least some cellular damage due to Fukushima.

Based on numerous reports and measurements from around the world, it’s safe to say that half the earth is now contaminated with radioactive material from Fukushima.

A few weeks ago, I told you this was probably worse than Chernobyl.  Yesterday they finally raised the severity from a “5″ to a “7″ (same as Chernobyl). The EPA tells you it’s safe while raising previous “safe” radiation limits by hundreds, or with some elements, thousands of times.   We all need to snap out of this stupor and take real, meaningful action to limit our exposure to contaminated food, water, and air.  Who are you going to believe now, the tin foil hat conspiracy theorist or the governments and corporate media?

You don’t have to be a nuclear physicist to watch reactor 3 blow up in a fireball with a mushroom cloud and call it a meltdown.  Add that to all the other partial reactor meltdowns and leakage, and thousands of spent fuel rods stored right on top of the reactor vessels being ejected everywhere, and it was easy to conclude this is as bad or worse than Chernobyl.

But is that relevant? Chernobyl is a reference for us to know what precautions we should take based on its impact on populations, and also should have taught us some lessons about how governments and media love to lie about this sort of thing.  That’s what it comes down to, making informed decisions, and not being a sucker.

  • How to protect yourself from radiation poisoning

(Natural News) In the wake of the Japanese nuclear disaster, radiation has contaminated the food and water supply and the ocean in Japan. Radioactive particles have been carried to distant lands, though no dangerous levels have been detected in other countries. During this time of possible exposure we need to protect ourselves from the toxicity of heavy metals and radiation. Anyone could be exposed to radiation from the nuclear reactors in Japan through contact with contaminated products or travelers, or by ingesting contaminated food, even if the exposure is relatively low in level.

There are three simple principles involved in detoxification. The most important is chelation, or the binding and removal of metals and other toxins from the body. Second, the body has its own methods of detoxification which can be encouraged. And third, antioxidants will scour and remove free radicals that have been created by oxidative damage. Everyone can easily take supplements to produce these results and protect the body from heavy metal and radiation toxicity.

Chelation can be accomplished with one or more of several supplements.

Chlorella is a green algae and spirulina is a blue-green algae which contain chlorophyllin and other nutrients that bind toxic compounds in the gut. They are both used as chelating agents of heavy metals and other toxins. They are readily available in most health food stores. Seaweed has a similar ability to inhibit absorption of toxins in the digestive tract.

Laminaria is a brown seaweed that contains sodium alginate, which has been shown to chelate heavy metals and treat radiation sickness.

Modified citrus pectin has been shown in clinical studies to remove heavy metals including lead, mercury, arsenic and other toxins (Econugenics). Pectins and alginates are polysaccharides known as polyuronides, molecules that form chains in an “eggbox” structure that attract and trap radioactive metals. Typical dosage is 5 gm of the powder per day.

Zeolite is a naturally occurring mineral that has a crystalline structure that traps metals. It has been shown to remove depleted uranium from the body. Dosage is 5 gm of powder per day.

The body’s natural chelating agent is called metallothienein (MT). This protein binds to toxic metals for delivery to the liver or kidneys for excretion. MT also prevents toxic metals from reacting with other molecules in the body, thereby preventing toxicity. The body’s production of MT can be encouraged by taking certain botanical and nutritional supplements. Specifically, Humulus (hops) and Andrographis, as well as zinc, will all help regulate the genes associated with MT production (Metalloclear, Metagenics).

  • EPA to raise limits for radiation exposure while Canada turns off fallout detectors

(naturalnews.com) The mass radioactive contamination of our planet is now under way thanks to the astonishing actions taking place at the Fukushima nuclear facility in Japan. As of last night, TEPCO announced it is releasing 10,000 tons of radioactive water directly into the Pacific Ocean. That 2.4 million gallons of planetary poison being dumped directly into the ocean.

This water is being released because they have run out of places to keep it on land. It’s too deadly to transport anywhere else, and all the storage pools around Fukushima are already overflowing. So they’re dumping it into the ocean, then calling it “safe” because they claim the ocean will “disperse” all the radiation and make it harmless.

But because there’s more radioactive water being produced every day at Fukushima, this process of releasing radioactive water into the ocean could theoretically continue for years, easily making Fukushima the worst nuclear disaster in the history of our world.

Quick, fudge the numbers before anybody notices!

Fukushima, you see, is doing to the Pacific Ocean what BP and the Deepwater Horizon did to the Gulf of Mexico last summer. Except that in the case of Fukushima, that radiation doesn’t just disappear with the help of millions of gallons of toxic chemicals. Nope, that radiation sticks around for decades.

So what to do? If you’re the United States Environment Protection Agency, there’s only one option: Declare radiation to be safe!

Yes indeed, friends, we have reached a moment of comedic insanity at the EPA, where those in charge of protecting the environment are hastily rewriting the definition of “radioactive contamination” in order to make sure that whatever fallout reaches the United States falls under the new limits of “safe” radiation.

The EPA maintains a set of so-called “Protective Action Guides” (PAGs). These PAGs are being quickly revised to radically increase the allowable levels of iodine-131 (a radioactive isotope) to anywhere from 3,000 to 100,000 times the currently allowable levels.

It’s important to note, this is background radiation and not air filter mass spectrometer analysis.  Small, highly radioactive particles of Pu and U will not cause much increase in detected background radiation, but when inhaled will cause small localized areas of lung tissue to be exposed to intense radiation.   One can hold a geiger counter 2 feet away from a microscopic piece of radioactive dust and not be able to tell it from background radiation.

    How the Map Works:

A growing number of Radiation Monitoring Stations across the country, using various models of Digital GeigerCounters, upload their Radiation Count data in real time to their computer using a Data Cable, and then over the Internet to this web site, all of this accomplished through GeigerGraph for Networks software.

  • Fukushima probably worse than Chernobyl – prepare for fallout

Dangerous levels of plutonium, uranium, radioactive iodine, xenon, sodium, cesium and who knows what else could stay suspended in the atmosphere for weeks to years.

Now is a good time for us to start supplementing our diets with Iodine to reduce the uptake of radioactive iodine into the thyroid.  If large amounts of radioactive iodine are imminent in your area, then in order to saturate the thyroid we could break out the potassium iodate tablets we ordered from my Amazon link over there on the right side column of the site.  I haven’t clicked that lately but I’m sure it’s sold out.  I’m taking both a Kelp-based iodine and ~ 20mg/day of KIO3, to make sure my thyroid is continuously saturated with iodine.  I may increase it if higher levels of radioactive iodine are reported over the US.

Supplementing iodine is important but we also need to also take steps to filter our indoor home and work/school air with HEPA + carbon air filters running 24/7 in your central HVAC system, plus room air filters where applicable.  Showering in filtered water is also a good idea after being outside.

Based on the fireball at Reactor 2 and resulting mushroom cloud,  there was at least one core meltdown:

and check out the story below from Prison Planet about the spent fuel rods being stored on top of live reactors.

Hmm… not a very clever place to store spent fuel rods.

… It is important to stress that 40 years’ worth of deadly spent fuel rods that would have been blown sky high by the blasts were stored in the roof of the facilities you see devastated in these images. See our article for more on this urgent aspect of the story.

The Tokyo Electric Power Company has released new images that show the devastated nuclear reactors at the stricken Fukushima plant, as authorities confirm that a second reactor containment vessel has been damaged, leading to yet more deadly radiation being released into the atmosphere.

  • CNN Exclusive! Mobile phone Industry-funded study finds no link between mobile phones and brain cancer

This just came in from BSC, who has a real knack for rearranging CNN articles so that they make sense…

Maybe because I didn’t drink my fluoride/hfc/aspartame/prozac/mercury/toxic sludge slurpee this morning, I’m seeing things a bit too clearly.  But can anyone tell me how this is not a conflict of interest?

Study finds no link in cell phone use, brain tumors.

The last line of the article, if anyone reads that far anymore:

“The study was funded in part by the cell phone industry. Several of the researchers analyzing the data acknowledged that they received money from the mobile phone industry.”

  • Hoxsey – How Healing Becomes A Crime

Bloodroot is an herb that grows wild in the Americas and has been used for thousands of years to remove skin growths, as an escharotic (necrotizing substance that causes an eschar, or a scab).

I recently removed a mole from my chest with minimal scarring using bloodroot paste.    In the course of my research I found that it’s an ingredient in other internal cancer treatments. There is some evidence that this plant preferentially kills cancerous, neoplastic cells over normal cells.

This documentary is about the Hoxley formula which aside from being used to treat skin cancers is also used internally.   I can’t vouch for any cancer treatment but this documentary suggests it has a high success rate, and based on my own experience with bloodroot there might be something to this…

    Google Video description:

This documentary concerns Harry M. Hoxsey, the former coal miner whose family’s herbal recipe has brought about claims of a cancer cure. Starting in 1924 with his first clinic, he expanded to 17 states by the mid 1950s, along the way constantly battling organized medicine that labeled him a charlatan.

Hoxsey’s supporters point out he was the victim of arrests, or “quackdowns” spearheaded by the proponents of established medical practices. Interviews of patients satisfied with the results of the controversial treatment are balanced with physicians from the FDA and the AMA.

A clinic in Tijuana, Mexico claims an 80% success rate, while opponents are naturally skeptical. What is apparent is that cancer continues to be one of humankind’s more dreaded diseases, and that political and economic forces dominate research and development.

  • Two university studies show radiation from mobile phones causes memory loss

Wait what was I posting about? Oh … These 2 studies about something.

Mobile Phones Affect Memory In Laboratory Animals, Swedish Study Finds

ScienceDaily (Dec. 5, 2008) — Can radiation from cell phones affect the memory? Yes — at least it appears to do so in rat experiments conducted at the Division of Neurosurgery, Lund University, in Sweden. Henrietta Nittby studied rats that were exposed to mobile phone radiation for two hours a week for more than a year. These rats had poorer results on a memory test than rats that had not been exposed to radiation….
