Iris scanners to create the LEAST secure city in the world.
NO.
Biometrics R&D firm Global Rainmakers Inc. (GRI) announced today that it is rolling out its iris scanning technology to create what it calls “the most secure city in the world.” In a partnership with Leon — one of the largest cities in Mexico, with a population of more than a million — GRI will fill the city with eye-scanners. That will help law enforcement revolutionize the way we live — not to mention marketers.
Just hold it right there.
As I’ve written about previously, biometric authentication is inherently insecure. I guarantee you in 15 years this article in “Fast Company” magazine is going to sound sophomoric. I had boss at an e-commerce job once who read Fast Company. Biggest ^$$-hole you’d ever want to meet.If they weren’t trying to sell us on the benefits of a biometric city-wide slave-tracking grid, this would be comical. It’s all for the human cattle and NOT for the criminals. Criminals will have little difficulty spoofing biometrics (see my previous post, and below). It’s a rather trivial task, when considering the reward to hackers if they can steal your identity (permanently) in a system that relies on biometric authentication.
Mark my words, if they do implement this it will be a disaster. I have a feeling that many Mexican people are not going to submit to being tracked like farm animals though. If they tried to implement this in the US, we’d probably have more people here voluntarily participating than in Mexico, since this country full of drugged morons who subject themselves to endless hours of brainwashing every day in front of the TV.
Eventually, they’ll try to force everyone onto it. It will be nearly impossible to “opt out.” Even if you wear sunglasses all the time, between the gait (walk) analysis, voice recognition, finding your address, place of business, etc, they’ll be able to piece together who you are. Automated systems could easily do this by tracking you in public with high-res cameras (constantly scanning your irises) and correlating this with publicly available data.
Just because a biometric system doesn’t know your name currently, doesn’t mean it can’t identify and track you until it does figure out your name later.
More about biometric spoofing: FIDIS. (click thru for pics, emphasis mine)

Experiments with spoofing
The Dutch Forensic Institute has done extensive tests with the various biometric systems. Several fingerprint systems and an iris system have been tested for possibilities of tampering. In most case it appeared to be easy if a person allowed to enrol into the system is cooperating. Some biometric features can also be copied without this person’s awareness and consent (for example fingerprints taken from a glass).
A low cost (Panasonic) iris scanner in our laboratory could easily be faked with a photograph of a person revealing the iris (). Punching a hole in the place of the iris turned out to be sufficient to mimic the light absorption exhibited by a real iris and fool the system into falsely accepting the photo as a real iris. It is claimed that high end scanners do not have this disadvantage: [which is where the contact lens comes in]

Unnatural Selection: Genetically Modified Canola growing wild in North Dakota
Bayer (IG Farben) and Monsanto (/Searle), two of the most evil companies in history, join forces to pollute our gene pool with their profit-motivated genetic tinkering.
Our society desperately needs to move to a techno-agrarian model using local food production and clean energy (solar and wind), domestic manufacturing, responsible mining, and renewable materials, with severely limited imports. This is getting ridiculous. It’s death to our environment by a thousand cuts.
For billions of years on this planet, there has not been the means to program genes manually and deliberately. All mutations to genes have been due to random forces such as radiation or chemical damage. Now we bring into the equation the psychology of profit combined with the ability to construct new organisms with specific purposes. This is a quantum leap forward in terms of evolution. In a sense it bypasses evolution since natural selection is not imposed on these new organisms.
It’s artifical, unnatural selection, imposed by some sick, sick people. We’re talking about the same companies that created Agent Orange defoliant (Monsanto) that caused horriffic birth defects, and Zyklon B Gas (IG Farben) used to kill concentration camp inmates in Germany during WW2. Do we really trust them to be engaging in this sort of reckless activity that will surely have unforeseen consequences? The biggest class action law suit you can imagine wouldn’t begin to recoup the cost of permanently removing GM plants and animals that have escaped into the wild. There is no amount of money that can fix these problems. From GM crop escapes into the American wild (Nature)
“The extent of the escape is unprecedented,” says Cynthia Sagers, an ecologist at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, who led the research team that found the canola (Brassica napus, also known as rapeseed).
Sagers and her team found two varieties of transgenic canola in the wild — one modified to be resistant to Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide (glyphosate), and one resistant to Bayer Crop Science’s Liberty herbicide (gluphosinate). They also found some plants that were resistant to both herbicides, showing that the different GM plants had bred to produce a plant with a new trait that did not exist anywhere else.

Wayne Madsen: Wikileaks is a CIA Front
Wayne Madsen Report via Arthur Zbygniew
…
WMR has confirmed Young’s contention that Wikileaks is a CIA front operation. Wikileaks is intimately involved in a $20 million CIA operation that U.S.-based Chinese dissidents that hack into computers in China. Some of the Chinese hackers route special hacking program through Chinese computers that then target U.S. government and military computer systems. After this hacking is accomplished, the U.S. government announces through friendly media outlets that U.S. computers have been subjected to a Chinese cyber-attack. The “threat” increases an already-bloated cyber-defense and offense budget and plays into the fears of the American public and businesses that heavily rely on information technology.
It is also pointed out that on Wikileaks advisory board is Ben Laurie, a one-time programmer and Internet security expert for Google, which recently signed a cooperative agreement with the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and has been charged by China with being part of a U.S. cyber-espionage campaign against China.

Let Them Eat Cake
Paul Craig Roberts
Prisonplanet.com
August 2, 2010It is not unusual for members of the diminishing upper middle class to drop $20,000 or $30,000 on a big wedding. But for celebrities this large sum wouldn’t cover the wedding dress or the flowers.

When country music star Keith Urban married actress Nicole Kidman in 2006, their wedding cost $250,000. This large sum hardly counts as a celebrity wedding. When mega-millionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump married model Melania Knauss, the wedding bill was $1,000,000.
The marriages of Madonna and film director Guy Ritchie, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, and Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones pushed up the cost of celebrity marriages to $1.5 million.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes upped the ante to $2,000,000.
Now comes the politicians’s daughter as celebrity. According to news reports, Chelsea Clinton’s wedding to investment banker Mark Mezvinsky on July 31 is costing papa Bill $3,000,000. According to the London Daily Mail, the total price tag will be about $5,000,000. The additional $2,000,000 apparently is being laid off on US Taxpayers as Secret Service costs for protecting former president Clinton and foreign heads of state, such as the presidents of France and Italy and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who are among the 500 invited guests along with Barbara Streisand, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey, Ted Turner, and Clinton friend and donor Denise Rich, wife of the Clinton-pardoned felon.
Before we attend to the poor political judgment of such an extravagant affair during times of economic distress, let us wonder aloud where a poor boy who became governor of Arkansas and president of the United States got such a fortune that he can blow $3,000,000 on a wedding.
The American people did not take up a collection to reward him for his service to them.
Where did the money come from? Who was he really serving during his eight years in office? How did Tony Blair and his wife, Cherrie, end up with an annual income of ten million pounds (approximately $15 million dollars) as soon as he left office? Who was Blair really serving?
These are not polite questions, and they are infrequently asked.
While Chelsea’s wedding guests eat a $11,000 wedding cake and admire $250,000 floral displays, Lisa Roberts in Ohio is struggling to raise contributions for her food pantry in order to feed 3,000 local people, whose financial independence was destroyed by investment bankers, job offshoring, and unaffordable wars. The Americans dependent on Lisa Roberts’ food pantry are living out of vans and cars. Those with a house roof still over their heads are packed in as many as 14 per household according to the Chillicothe Gazette in Ohio.
The Chilicothe Gazette reports that Lisa Roberts’ food pantry has “had to cut back to half rations per person in order to have something for everyone who needed it.”
Theresa DePugh stepped up to the challenge and had the starving Ohioans write messages on their food pantry paper plates to President Obama, who has just obtained another $33 billion to squander on a pointless war in Afghanistan that serves no purpose whatsoever except the enrichment of the military/security complex and its shareholders.
The Guardian (UK) reports that according to US government reports, one million American children go to bed hungry, while the Obama regime squanders hundreds of billions of dollars killing women and children in Afghanistan and elsewhere.
The Guardian’s reporting relies on a US government report from the US Department of Agriculture, which concludes that 50 million people in the US–one in six of the population–were unable to afford to buy sufficient food to stay healthy in 2008.
US Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said that he expected the number of hungry Americans to worsen when the survey for 2010 is released.
Today in the American Superpower, one of every six Americans is living on food stamps.
The Great American Superpower, which is wasting trillions of dollars in pursuit of world hegemony, has 22% of its population unemployed and almost 17% of its population dependent on welfare in order to stay alive. The world has not witnessed such total failure of government since the final days of the Roman Empire. A handful of American oligarchs are becoming mega-billionaires while the rest of the country goes down the drain.
And the American sheeple remain acquiescent.

After 18 hours of moving heavy stuff and just 3 hours of sleep…
… I’m still glad to be coming in to work this morning.
Disassembling my razor-sharp, made-in-China stamped metal shelves makes me appreciate coming in to work here each morning and earning a good salary to write code, instead of doing this for $1/hour:
Blessings to you Chinese workers for making my cheap shelves.

Maybe they’ll just kill me
I was pretty disturbed by the recent Telegraph article claiming the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, believes that 9/11 being an inside job is a “false conspiracy” (meaning that it’s not an inside job).
Cryptogon made a good point today that Wikileaks could be used as a honeypot, although I can’t possibly imagine it having been started by intelligence agencies like Facebook was, because some damaging material has been released there. (Or is it?) However Wikileaks could be co-opted by threats from intelligence agents. For all we know that Telegraph article could have been planted to draw 9/11 truthers in to contact Wikileaks to be integrated into one of these shadow government AI threat assessment systems like the NSA Main Core.
From “The Last Roundup” by Christopher Ketcham:
The database can identify and locate perceived ‘enemies of the state’ almost instantaneously.” He and other sources tell Radar that the database is sometimes referred to by the code name Main Core. One knowledgeable source claims that 8 million Americans are now listed in Main Core as potentially suspect.
I see the bots visiting my site from various .mil hosts. I know their systems are scouring the web, building databases and profiling us. But what are they going to do with all this data?
Well, I for one do not welcome our new robot overlords. The drone army the Elite are amassing and the wealth of private data they are processing ultimately can be used as an automated, selective extermination system. Systems like IBM CRUSH will be used to interface with the Main Core profiles for targeting individuals.

IBM Hollerith Machine
ARMONK - 21 Jul 2010: IBM today announced that Memphis Police Department (MPD) has enhanced its crime fighting techniques with IBM predictive analytics software and reduced serious crime by more than 30 percent, including a 15 percent reduction in violent crimes since 2006. MPD is now able to evaluate incident patterns throughout the city and forecast criminal “hot spots” to proactively allocate resources and deploy personnel, resulting in improved force effectiveness and increased public safety.
But of course IBM was a a pioneer of the human tracking industry from the onset. They provided some of the earliest punch card computers to the fascist governments of Germany and Spain to track prisoners.
A combination of biological and chemical weapons (including slow-kill sterilants and toxicants like fluoridated water, GM foods, and metal aerosol in chemtrails) to sterilize and reduce population overall, and targeted drone or satellite beam weapon strikes against “high value” (dissident/subversive) targets– worldwide, on demand, and eventually under the autonomous control of their AI threat assessment systems, will be used to bring the world’s population down to “manageable” numbers. In the eyes of many elitie eugenicist “sustainability” fanatics, around 10% of current population would be ideal. But of course it’s not going to be easy to get 90% humans to kill each other. That’s why they need the drones.
After the US invades a few more countries and goes completely bankrupt as it’s intended to, we’ll be begging for them to let us into the work camps so we can manufacture their robot army of death. Most people on this planet are already serving the Western Military-Industrial Complex anyway, they just don’t realize it.
Eventually I may get hauled off in a van and nobody will hear from me again. But people who are being called on to do the dirty work of the financial elite, the energy companies, defense contractors, and the whole machinery of this new Babylon system… you better do some soul searching. None of us are going to escape this world. You might as well be on the side of freedom and individuality, not techno-fascism, cause your life means nothing to them either way, and your kids will grow up to be slaves.
All I can say is I’m gona do what I have to to protect myself and my family. And I’m not going to your fucking concentration camp.
Here’s my message to Wikileaks. Haven’t heard anything back yet (probably because it’s an intelligence operation)
Julian et al -
I’m puzzled by this article in the Belfast Telegraph in which they claim that you believe 9/11 is a false conspiracy and not really an inside job.
Since Wikileaks is familiar with the corruption in intelligence agencies and governments of the world, surely you would not be so quick to dismiss this possibility, with such a mountain of forensic evidence and credible eyewitness testimony supporting it.
If you truly haven’t started down that rabbit hole yet, I recommend you do some reading about WTC7.
I’d like to post an official response from Julian and Wikileaks on this issue. My blog has a lot of info about wtc7 if you’d care to read it: http://qbit.cc/tags/wtc7/
I believe Wikileaks’ position on this issue is very important. A mod in your IRC channel (odin) says that since Wikileaks hasn’t received any leaked documents on this issue, thus has no official position on it. However a neutral position is different from a dismissive one as the Guardian repoted.
Please study this issue and choose your position carefully. Dismissing this mother of all conspiracies will not bode well for your credibility. I would hate to see Wikileaks go down on the wrong side of history.
Best regards,
Qbit.cc
From the Telegraph article:
“I believe in facts about conspiracies,” he says, choosing his words slowly. “Any time people with power plan in secret, they are conducting a conspiracy. So there are conspiracies everywhere. There are also crazed conspiracy theories. It’s important not to confuse these two. Generally, when there’s enough facts about a conspiracy we simply call this news.” What about 9/11? “I’m constantly annoyed that people are distracted by false conspiracies such as 9/11, when all around we provide evidence of real conspiracies, for war or mass financial fraud.” What about the Bilderberg conference? “That is vaguely conspiratorial, in a networking sense. We have published their meeting notes.”
